Someone just recommended to me REALLY THE BLUES by Mezz Mezzrow (actually, it was part of my interview with author Seth Greenland on Drinks with Tony: www.cherrybleeds.com/drinks/...and.html ) (The Bones by Seth Greenland is a freat read...i recommend it, but not Henry Miller subject worthy....)

Anyway, Henry Miller gave a blurb on REALLY THE BLUES: "Quite superb, this perfectly marvelous book conveys a powerful, vital message of unadulerated joy."

i just started it, it's great so far.

Hi I love the work of Mr. Miller and have most of his novels, I also have a first edition Really The Blues signed by 'The Mezz' himself.I bought this in a charity shop in my hometown of Port Talbot, South Wales some years ago.It is an excellent portrayal of the life that Kerouac would later describe in On The Road using much of the same jargon for that era.Hope you enjoy.Chinaski.
